afx Posted July 14, 2016 Author Posted July 14, 2016 Fabricated an air dam.The rain gutter at the roof were poorly formed so I replaced them with some .020 rod.
afx Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Finally locked in the position of the rear axle and installed locating pins. Pulled it forward slightly to get the correct wheelbase. This will be the final stance.
aurfalien Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 So bitchen! Are those wheels from scaleproduction.de?That guy has a pretty killer assortment of tires and wheels for sure.
afx Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 (edited) Thank Kerry. Brian the wheels are by AFX Custom Designs. The wheel centers are Fujimi Volk Mesh and the outer rims are from the Revell IMSA Mustang kit. They were not complete in this photo but this will give you an idea of how I made them. The tires (tyres) are from Fujimi's Wide Wire wheel set. Very close to the correct BBS design. Edited July 15, 2016 by afx
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Coming together VERY nicely, capturing the look of these things well.
cobraman Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 I agree with the rest of the guys. Nice work and looking good. I guess they can't all be Cobra's.

afx Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 Thanks again gentlemen, for the interest. Haven't had much bench time lately so not much of an update. Boxed in the dash to create a fire wall, fabricated/modified the radiator shroud and scrounged up some brake rotors.

afx Posted July 28, 2016 Author Posted July 28, 2016 More engine bay work. Added kicker bars down to the front suspension pickup points and flanges along the inner fenders to support the hood.
afx Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 (edited) Fabricated a support bar for the front clip (nose/fenders). Edited July 30, 2016 by afx

aurfalien Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Your style of building is so clean and precise. I bet your work area is über clean and organized.Definitely an inspiration.
afx Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) Thanks Joe & Randy. Here is what my work bench looks like on a good day Brian. It's a wreck right now. My last several projects have been a lot of slice & dice and I haven't taken the time to clean up in between. I want to roll with the ideas and inspiration will I have them!
