Greg Myers
I keep running across this kit and ME-TV is running the show on tv. I thought a thread on TV cars would be interesting until I saw how many there are. So, help me out here. What are your favorites? Which ones don't you like ? Pictures / photos would be nice. ToyLvr
I have some of the well-known TV vehicles in my collection, such as the '66 Batmobile, Green Hornet Imperial, Route 66 Corvette ('62, of course), but my favorite is the fake 1928 "Porter" from "My Mother the Car". On my "Holy Grail" list is the custom Toronado from "Mannix".
Xingu
The A-Team van, the Ironsides van, I think the '71 Cuda convertible was kitted for several shows. Miami Vice had several cars (I personally was a fan of the speed boats featured in the show). I also think they rreissued one of the 4x4 kits for the Fall Guy. Man, there are so many kits that the companies reissued for various TV shows (whether it matched the shows car or not). FordRodnKustom
I don't have any TV kits to add but just FYI the chassis in the H&M kit above has the the chassis and drive gear from this kit.
Greg Myers
I thought so. Seeing it fly (ala, DoH) on the TV teaser makes you wonder about their back lot. Edited July 12, 2016 by Greg Myers

Richard Bartrop
What famous car as well as a great AMT kit did we lose from this turd ? Looks a lot like it started life as the '27 T Touring, so it looks like they eventually put it right

Richard Bartrop
The Chrysler Imperial from the short lived show "The Hero" "Bearcats" lasted just as long, and it also spawned a model tie-in Edited July 12, 2016 by Richard Bartrop
ChrisBcritter
This one, because there's no other way on Earth a major company would make a kit of a 1921 Oldsmobile. Too bad they didn't make it a 3-in-1 with a stock touring body and rear fenders.

Cooter actually did have several Chevys from that body style, I think there may have been a GMC as well, but none of them had the tow tuck body like the kit. They were all regular pickups with a tow boom in the bed, although he did have 1 blue 1/2 ton that was a regular truck without a boom. At least one (a brown truck IIRC) was either 3/4 or 1 ton Longhorn truck (133" wheelbase) with the standard 3/4 ton 8' bed on it instead of the 8 1/2' (Fleetside) or 9' (Stepside) bed on it. Those were mostly in early seasons. Later seasons, he primarily had a yellow Ford F-350 tow truck, and I do believe you are correct about him having a ford F-350 in the color scheme of the kit, though it did not have the flag on the roof as the kit depicts. Luc Janssens
The all time best selling model. The General Lee and company! and they only had to pay for the licensing and retool Some bits and pieces to make it....
Daddyfink
and they only had to pay for the licensing and retool Some bits and pieces to make it....Yes, and quite a few Stock Car fans where not happy! The first issue of the kit still had some of the Stock Car parts, like the cage, steering wheel and engine parts and the most glaring of them all, the flush rear window. But, it was the flush rear window that made me read up on Charger as a kid to learn what it was all about.
