Cardz Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Been tinkering with this one on and off for awhile now. Going full rust...maybe over board but I'm having fun with it.
Intmd8r Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Looks like this poor truck had been rotting in a field somewhere for quite a while.Looks great! Can't wait to see more
Foxer Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 That's a beautiful job on the rust .. looks just right! and, only overboard to the guy that's going to restore it.
JTalmage Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Definitely a vehicle that has been left in the woods for a while! Looks great.
TarheelRick Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Beautiful work on the rust. I'm sure you are also going to rot out the bed floorboards. I mean that much rust, those wood floors would be gone.
Cardz Posted July 22, 2016 Author Posted July 22, 2016 Not sure if I'm gonna go back and do the wood bed. Something I should have planned early in the build. I didn't plan on going this rusty it just evolved that way. My first rust build so I'm just learning as I go. Anyway here is the seat.
mchook Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 That seat is great!!! What did you use to cover it with?
Cardz Posted July 23, 2016 Author Posted July 23, 2016 That seat is great!!! What did you use to cover it with?I used paper towel.. thx.
Atmobil Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Not sure if I'm gonna go back and do the wood bed. Something I should have planned early in the build. I didn't plan on going this rusty it just evolved that way. My first rust build so I'm just learning as I go.Anyway here is the seat. This looks really great. What you could do with the bed is to add some foliage to it to make it look like it has been out in the woods for so long that something has started to grow on the bed of it. I have acctually seen a small tree growing on the bed of an old VW splitwindow pickup once.
gotnitro? Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Very convincing!! Love the torn up seat w the foam and springs poking thru
redneckrigger Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Incredible rust work................wish I could do that!
Cardz Posted July 30, 2016 Author Posted July 30, 2016 Thanks guys. Here is the interior. Still hafta add a couple things but pretty much finished.
mchook Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 THAT INTERIOR LOOKS LIKE BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH!!! IT'S PERFECT!!!!
gatorincebu Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 WOW!! Your weathering ( rust and body damage ) is spot on. And now you add to it this awesome seat and interior. Looks good from here . Be Well Gator
DumpyDan Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Looks like this poor truck had been rotting in a field somewhere for quite a while.Looks great! Can't wait to see moreI didn't think BC was that bad on the trucks........nice work
TarheelRick Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 Excellent weathering. Hope you have had your tetanus shot before continuing this build.
Dieselhead Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 Man, you make my weathering job look like absolutely nothing whatsoever. Great work, without the popsicle sticks and stuff, I would've thought it was real.
Modelbuilder Mark Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Not sure if I'm gonna go back and do the wood bed. Something I should have planned early in the build. What did you use for the foam backing? Not overly thick lie I have seen before.
