Here's my latest build, finished it today. It's a restoration of an original issue build up I bought online. This is the very first issue of this kit as the rumble seat cover is molded shut whereas all later issues have the "mother in law" seat open. I decided to recreate the box art the best I could, using as many original parts as possible and painted with Testor's enamels. I was lucky to find a mint original decal sheet for it. It looks like a very simple kit by today's standards and it is but it took a ton of work to get all the fit together like this. No wonder they never looked right when I built them as a kid!

I know these type of builds aren't everyone's "cup of tea" and I'm cool with that but for those that like this old stuff....... enjoy!

Started with this barn find

And after a slight rework

As always comments and discussion are encouraged.

Beautiful job, Ron! Nice work applying those original decals – even when they're usable they're not always easy to work with!

One of my favorite kits!

Yup, I was lucky to score a clean well preserved sheet and they behaved better than expected but I did use a lot of setting solution........a lot. Thanks John.
