Can-Con Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 I hope to be able to post a new finished model soon but I thought I'd repost this one I did several years ago just for fun. It's an R+R resin '70 Chrysler 300. It was quite a bear to get the body prepped and ready for paint. Door handles and all emblems were shaved off. Curbside build, paint is a candy olive I mixed myself and sprayed over metallic gold. I wanted it to be similar to the factory color available that year but with more depth. Interior is a matching green. Pegasus wheels with red line tires. Hope you like it, it's one of my favourites
Phirewriter Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 (edited) Color, stance, excellent!!! Nice job. That look would really translate well to the real car. While stock it's a good looking car despite it's battle cruiser size. This looks sleek and streamlined. Edited October 23, 2016 by Phirewriter
wayne swayze Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Great looking model! The paint is gorgeous!
Sport Suburban Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Great build and I love it. I remember when you first posted it. I had saved the pictures and had bought the kit. That R&R kit needed some work to make it as nice as yours. I didn't build mine and once R&R had passed and some of his kits went through the roof I had sold it. I wish more of these C body Mopars were available!
mtrcitymuscle Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Very nice model! Color is perfect! Nice job.
Deathgoblin Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Stunning!! I loved the 300's like that one.
StevenGuthmiller Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Really a pretty nice body style for 1970. For a giant boat, they didn't look half bad! You did a great job on this one Steve. Steve
Ron Hamilton Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 That is beautiful. I had one of All American Resin's '70 Chrysler 300, which I had intended to turn into a 300H, which was a great kit. I am amazed at how yours came out. The concept and execution are excellent!!!!
peekay Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Really nice! One of those very rare occasions where I think the custom touches make the car look better than stock.
towman1271 Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Really nice! One of those very rare occasions where I think the custom touches make the car look better than stock. I agree with Peter.. The custom look gives a meaner appearance
58 Impala Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Nice job! Love those big 2-door Chryslers, they were cruisers.
carman1 Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 I love it, that thing is awesome ! Great build and nice color !
Chuck Mols Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Awesome. Love the color and the subject. That would be great as a full size cruiser.
Chuck Most Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Looks absolutely killer, and the fact that you started with an R&R casting makes it a victory.
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Beautiful, beautiful. Interesting how some of the huge land-yachts look great with minor de-chroming. The subtle sculpting of the body really shines on this one.
triplelindy Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I dont like lowered big wheeled cars. But this is an exception. Love it.
