landman Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) Has the 1925 Dodge ever been kitted or in diecast. I couldn't find any on the internet, which isn't a good sign. (I think I found enough info to attempt to build one, so I asked Michael to move it here as a project) Edited September 16, 2018 by landman
Art Anderson Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 I've never seen one in model kit or diecast, in any scale.
Aaronw Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Danbury did a 1929 truck, that is the closest I know ofhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/Danbury-1929-Dodge-Truck-1-24-/322326301751?hash=item4b0c250c37:g:oeAAAOSwA3dYJ3Vr

That's just about the only pre-1930's Dodge of any style that I can remember!Art
landman Posted December 13, 2016 Author Posted December 13, 2016 (edited) Any suggestions as to what I could use to replicate this, other than a total scratchbuild? Edited November 30, 2020 by landman
Art Anderson Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Any suggestions as to what I could use to replicate this, other than a total scratchbuild? I'm afraid you are in for a total scratchbuild here, as that Dodge shares nothing more than perhaps tires, with any model car kit I've ever seen. Art
Junkman Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Correct. That's just about the only pre-1930's Dodge of any style that I can remember!Art And how many other pre-war Dodge models do you know of?
Junkman Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Any suggestions as to what I could use to replicate this, other than a total scratchbuild? Not sure what your modelling skills are, because this would be a very involved project, but I'd start with a 28-29 Ford A and a '27 Ford T coupe for the body.
landman Posted September 2, 2017 Author Posted September 2, 2017 Is there a '27 Model T coupe 5WC made? There is a Tall T in Jimmy flintstone.
stitchdup Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 This could be a good start point but would need unchopped
PARTSMARTY Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 I would love to have a kit of this-probably several !!!
landman Posted September 2, 2017 Author Posted September 2, 2017 (edited) The Fruitwagon kit supposedly has an unchopped coupe body. Can anyone confirm. Like Junkman says above, it would be a good starting point. Edited November 30, 2020 by landman
landman Posted September 2, 2017 Author Posted September 2, 2017 (edited) Visited the owner yesterday and made a bunch of sketches , measurements, photos. Edited November 30, 2020 by landman
Richard Bartrop Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 (edited) Maybe the Beverly Hillbillies truck or the 1928 Lincoln as a starting point for the chassis?for the chassis? Edited September 2, 2017 by Richard Bartrop

The Fruit Wagon builds as a roadster or pickup... http://www.modelroundup.com/product-p/amt-r2-869.htm The 'Tall T' kit has the unchopped 2dr roof. http://www.modelroundup.com/product-p/amt-r2-670.htm

Richard Bartrop Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 (edited) The MPC/AMT Lincoln chassis. The engine is different, and the frame will need to be shortened, but the frame and axles look they're about the right shape. Edited September 2, 2017 by Richard Bartrop

ChrisBcritter Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Are you going with spoke or disc wheels?

blunc Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 T for Two - '25 Ford coupe hot rod - Lindberg - 1/25 scale might be a basic starting shape for the body since it's un-chopped
misterNNL Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 You're on the right track zeroing in on the ANT '25 Ford tall top coupe as a starting point for the the main body's upper rear corners. I have based several kit bashed bodies on those panels. I would also suggest that you have photocopies made of those direct side, rear and front photos and have those printed in 1/25 scale. Having done that everything in those images will be in scale and you can measure and cut panels to the exact size and shape you need.

Eric Macleod Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 This is very interesting. You might consider the Lincoln Roadster variant as it might also help you with the lower portion of tne body in addition to the chassis. I will be watching your progress with interest.
