'54 Hudson Hornet Club Coupe converted into a four-wheel-drive pickup and powered with a Ford small block. The idea was an abandoned old aftermarket conversion or forgotten factory prototype given a new lease on life.

A very cool idea, Chuck. I love stuff like this and your build makes me want to get the kit and do something similar. My favorite aspects of your build: the tires and wheels, and the way we perceive weight distribution. Nice work.

Actually the stance is pure accident- I just left the "tail-down" stance to give the impression of rear leaves that had been overtaxed one time too many.

Great looking build. I like the truck conversion idea.

were you thinking of this?

I think I have seen this car in one of the old car magazines.

The idea isn't that far fetched, I remember when working at Opel's ITDC in Rüsselsheim in Gemany, seeing a Elky style pickup, based on the then current Opel Omega (Cadillac Catera), it was converted from a wagon....

It was a Prototype  pickup so probably less then 4 were ever made by the company.
