YBlock292 Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Based on Revell's 1957 Ford Del Rio kit I built my version of this model-kit as a mild custom. I used "Silver Leaf" color by Tamiya to give it an over all clean look. Wheels are from my parts bin, as well as the airplane ornament on the hood which refers to those ornaments used on the 1951 and 52 Ford Victorias. Did some wiring and plumbing under the hood, painted to grill semi-gloss black and frenched the headlights. My Ford class of 57: Custom, Del Rio Ranch Wagon, Ranchero Custom
Janne Herajärvi Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Shiny and stylish.. Nice color combo & cool trio in that last picture
Lovefordgalaxie Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I like the Custom Tudor on the last picture. She looks stock.
Yahshu Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I'm in love, doesn't help that I have a "thing" for wagons, very nice indeed
bbowser Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Beautifully built and very tasteful mods.Agreed! Great color.
Misha Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Beautiful build Ludwig, the colour choice fits so well plus the excellant paint job places your wagon into the top ranks! The chrome is amazing, did you use BMF on the side trim and windows?Cheers Misha

DeeCee Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 That is a very nice clean build, love the wheel choice, and the color really sets it off.
Davewilly Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Great looking Wagon! I really need to pick up this kit! and the Gasser version
geetee66 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 A great looking model, that you'd be forgiven for thinking it's 1:1.The backdrop diorama setting, gives it 'weight'.Are those wheels from a '70 super bee kit. They look familiar. They look good on this car. I also have a soft spot for wagons. Especially those from the '50's and '60's.
Dave42 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Great work. Panel lines, trim, mods, all of it.
Belugawrx Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 (edited) I agree, it all looks, just,... right. The wheels even look right on , ...Nice Oh, and you need to show us that Ranchero Custom!!! Edited February 6, 2017 by Belugawrx
