Based on Revell's 1957 Ford Del Rio kit I built my version of this model-kit as a mild custom. I used  "Silver Leaf" color by Tamiya to give it an over all clean look. Wheels are from my parts bin, as well as the airplane ornament on the hood which refers to those ornaments used on the 1951 and 52 Ford Victorias. Did some wiring and plumbing under the hood, painted to grill semi-gloss black and frenched the headlights.

Beautiful build Ludwig, the colour choice fits so well plus the excellant paint job places your wagon into the top ranks! The chrome is amazing, did you use BMF on the side trim and windows?

A great looking model, that you'd be forgiven for thinking it's 1:1.

The backdrop diorama setting, gives it 'weight'.

Are those wheels from a '70 super bee kit. They look familiar.

They look good on this car. I also have a soft spot for wagons. Especially those from the '50's and '60's.
