PatW Posted February 20, 2017 Author Posted February 20, 2017 Thanks guys. So my first build of a Ford Model T in 60 years of modelling has come out OK!
XJ6 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 That is really Great Model the trailer gives me ideas super work Pat
Snake45 Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 I've seen ten thousand fad Ts, but don't think I've ever seen this color combination before, so congrats on coming up with something NEW!
Sixties Sam Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 I've seen ten thousand fad Ts, but don't think I've ever seen this color combination before, so congrats on coming up with something NEW! Me too. Great color choices! Good build! Sam
DumpyDan Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Well done looks good, not difficult but a fun build
wayne swayze Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 I like your buildup of this kit! Effective colour choices also. I had this kit years ago when the "chrome" was gold in the box. I just couldn't bring myself to build it. Years later, the kit was made available again and Ì bought a couple of them because they are so cool. Your build gets the desire going aģain!
cobramike Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 WOW! Stunningly beautiful build. Combining it with the trailer is in a word, brilliant!
TooOld Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 I just had to comment again on how much I like the colors you've used and it sounds like I'm not the only one that likes it ! Really nicely done Pat !
PatW Posted February 21, 2017 Author Posted February 21, 2017 Thanks guys. I tried other colours but had problems with drying even after 2 grey undercoats and 2 of white undercoat. Firstly yellow gloss, clean it all off! Then Black Gloss and the same reaction, not properly dry just a bit tacky after a couple of days in a warm room! So clean it all off add all of the undercoats and tried Plasti-Kote rattle can chrome, 3 coats and 2 coats of Tamiya Pearl Gloss. At last!
FordRodnKustom Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Very sharp. Echoing the above that is a real cool color combo. Well done.Sure wish I could find a set of those headers! To the best of my knowledge they were only in the Street T issue of that kit. Rare indeed.
PatW Posted February 21, 2017 Author Posted February 21, 2017 Cheers Ron, thanks for the comments and yes I've seen a similar kit but the box art shows side decals and the headers are different........................ Different headers and decals, no decals with this one! Everything else looks the same.. This kit is the Ford T Street Rod.
FordRodnKustom Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 (edited) Yep. And the first issue of this kit the "Little T" had still different headers. Edited February 21, 2017 by FordRodnKustom
misterNNL Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Unusual color choices that work well togeather.Don't let this be your last model T build.
PatW Posted February 22, 2017 Author Posted February 22, 2017 Thanks guys. Well I hope it won't be my last 'T'. I'm looking for a rare kit, the 'Uncertain T'.
Dann Tier Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Love your work here!!!, As usual, you picked different colors than the "norm" and made it work. Its one of the things I like about your build-style. Keep'em coming!!
