extmcdriver Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 As usual, outstanding work. Really looks great!!!!!!!!
Brett Barrow Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 (edited) Wow, I'm not normally a truck guy but that looks great! How'd you do the metal on the trailer? Hope you don't mind but I went even more vintage to try to better match your reference pic. I think you got pretty close! Edited March 20, 2017 by Brett Barrow
KJ790 Posted March 20, 2017 Author Posted March 20, 2017 Thanks Brett! For the trailer I used 2" wide aluminum HVAC tape in vertical strips.I had to use a rounded tooth-pick to push the tape down between each rib in the side. It took forever, but it worked well in the end to simulate the stainless steel sides.
1959scudetto Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Very nice, KJ - your KW definitely has that late 60's/early 70's look - Coe at its best !!!
Tommy Isbister Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Great cab over build. The road spray on the trailer is perfect.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Top notch work!! I like everything about this one!!! The trailer looks awesome as well!! Nice job on the weathering!!
10thumbs Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Compliments KJ, not only well built and following a real life them, but greatly photographed as well. A real treat to see.The trailer kicks butt, without a doubt. Very, very fine!
DumpyDan Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Nice looking truck in the Syracuse, NY snow in the background
