Very , very beautiful LS23M8B !

Reminds me quite a bit of the 1969 GTS me and my friends owned ( a three-way partnership ) some 24 years ago : 496" ( 440 with a Kellogg crank ) , Art Carr 727 ( 3,000 RPM converter , manual valve body , zero-overlap shift , bolt-in sprag ) , 8 3/4  with 3.23 Sure Grip . It originally had a 340 ; original owner performed the big block swap in 1986 ( and used a Direct Connection spool-mount K-member ) .

That thing was loud , mean , and nasty !

Looking at yours , I can still hear the gnarly exhaust note , the smoking of the tyres , and every car alarm going off within 5 miles !

Thank. I liked the way the hood turned out. Better than I expected to say the least.

This is just fantastic, Jim!  That hood works so well on it, and your attention to all the details really make this a standout.  Congrats!

That is simply stunning.

Really nice and well done!!

Great job on this,so much detail.

Thanks Guys. I wish I had time to get started on another one, but I got a ton of stuff to do this spring to get my motorhome on the road and my house ready to put up for sale later this summer.

My idea was to create something that a hand me down young owner wound have hot rodded out for maybe after shool or weekend driving.

When I started high school, quite a few of the seniors drove tricked out compacts like Falcons, Darts, and Chevelles. I think you hit the nail right dead center on the head, with this build. ;)

Thanks a lot. Same for me. I had a 63 dart for awhile in high school and traded that to a friend for a 65 Chevy II and eventually traded that for a 69 Impala SS to another friend. Seems like we were either working on our cars to make them cooler it we were trading them to each other when we got tired of them lol.

Wow! That's sharp! I love that hood! Chrysler needed you!

Thanks, I just wanted to do something a little different but not to over the top, and I felt like the hood just worked.

fabulous, looks awesome.  very nice work

Thanks a lot.

Absolutely superb Jim, you do some really fine work ....

Thanks Geoff. I knew this one was gonna be my last build for awhile so I wanted to go all out as much as I could with it. I hope I will get time, once the wife retires early this summer and we get our house sold, to work on another build.

I know its an old thread, but I got to say this is superb. Great detailing and colour choices. Shame you're not building anymore Jim.
