Reuhkapelti Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 This one was built many years ago, but I wanted to put it here under your eyes. I took a 2d ht Impala AMT kit and made a 4door sedan of it. The idea was to make a Big Apple taxi with the driver and other stuff. The roof is lifted a bit and there's a six in line engine under the bonnet. The trunk has green cotton like material all around it. The driver has a protection shield behind his seat. The seagull and the burger is made of blue tack and then painted. The driver is made of modelling clay, then painted. The umbrella is for the lady customers. Thanks for watching/ comments.
Tommy Isbister Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Excellent build with great detail. It's all in the details.
espo Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Great job on the body conversion. I thought it was a resin body at first. Nice "theme" build.
Michael in Illinois Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 That's pretty slick, thanks for posting
echo Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 I like what you did with the car, must be in early '64 as it isn't beat up too badly yet.
JerseyRed Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 I've loved NYC taxis since I was a little kid, riding in them whenever we went to the city. This is another great version and an excellent job at that. Nice!!!
