pharoah
I'm really surprised to hear about this kit after all these years. I've owned several real 620's,so I'm very familiar with them. The kit has a lot of possibilities. Like these.

oldcarfan
I have one of the '75s that I got on the bay a while back. I pull it out and work on it sometimes. Now I can do one stock and one hotted up!

AC Norton
......this is great news, and a wonderful surprise as well. I guess there is an Easter bunny after all, being I'm reading about this Easter Sunday...lol........the Ace...
AC Norton
Sorry, I guess my post wasn't clear enough. MPC 872 will be a reissue of the '75 annual as pictured in Casey's original post. The stock version's parts are all present and accounted for except the plastic tires which will be replaced by vinyl tires. A couple of bits had to be retooled for the custom version as well. Hi Mike, and thanks for that info.....tell us, is there a release date you know of on this little gem.... I know you have close ties to Round2, and I really think this kit will be a winner for them, to say the least....best, the Ace......

I'm guessing it would be too early to predict a date for this one right now because they're working on some retooling.

Ben
I really hope it's not the flip nose monster truck version. I have a rebuilder that I'm working on as a stock one and I've been hoping to find another to do as a sort of Japanese tuner style parts truck. That flip front monster tow truck is out right now. pharoah
I was wondering if this version sells fairly well ,they will release the other versions like the stepside and California Sunshine. And I like the idea of vinyl tires with this kit. I just hope they're not too big ,and have whitewalls. Chrome hubcaps would be nice, too.
Mr mopar
this one could find it's way into my collection ,built two or three of them when I was younger.
Daddyfink
Honestly, I was hoping we would get at least one shot of the Flip Nose version that was not the monster truck.

Yes, but I'll bet that you eventually will see a flip nose if the upcoming 75 annual sells well, and it probably will...the Ace...

If you got the Monster truck, you should be able to just source axles and wheels to build something like this. http://round2corp.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/MPC852-DatsunMonsterTruck-Parts.jpg

Thinking of using the parts out of the flip nose 57 or 53 Ford Pick up.

RickRollerLT1
Welp, its a good thing I waited on the Monster Truck flipnose reissue, because the stock config looks cooler and would go well with the 240 and 280zs in my stash being out of place. Not sure how well they could tow, I would imagine the extra weight of the bed really taxed that engine, let alone a car hanging off the back! LOL I know. In their brochure ,they show a Torino on the hook. I imagine it did a wheelie every time they started. It was more a novelty than anything. There was one for sale on Ebay about 4 years ago for $4500.
