afx Posted June 11, 2017 Author Posted June 11, 2017 (edited) Thanks for the info Mike (posted below). Safety Fuel Cells were permitted in '68. My Falcon is as it appeared in '67 at Mid-Ohio when stock tanks were still required. Edited June 11, 2017 by afx
porschercr Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 JC,Just read this from page 1. Great build!Love following your builds. Trevor
afx Posted June 11, 2017 Author Posted June 11, 2017 Thanks Trevor, glad you enjoy the builds. Full mock-up.
mustang1989 Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Looks like you're cleared for take off to me JC. Roll with it man.
mecklm Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 You have a great knack for absolutely nailing the ride height and overall stance of your projects. Even in mock up form your builds exude realism. Can't wait to see this one in paint!
afx Posted June 12, 2017 Author Posted June 12, 2017 Thanks Steve. Now comes the nerve racking part for me Joe - paint and BMF! I so rarely use BMF (not a big chrome guy) that I am still working off the first sheet I ever bought. Thanks Mike. Stance and wheel/tire combination are requirements 1 and 1A for me so I work hard to get those right.
Draggon Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Really sweet, the choice on rims was the right one!
Xingu Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Thanks Steve. Looking forward to seeing this one finished. Worst thing that can happen is the paint gets messed up and the body takes a purple bath. I don't sweat painting or BMF anymore. I can always fix what doesn't come out to my liking. It is only semi-permanent.

Dann Tier Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 This has the perfect look!, as usual -outstanding attention to detail! this engine looks "all business". like my dad told me, "if it don't go -chrome it!" -Love the look of this engine!
afx Posted June 20, 2017 Author Posted June 20, 2017 I appreciate the comments and the interest gentlemen. I hope to start painting soon.

afx Posted July 10, 2017 Author Posted July 10, 2017 Thanks Randy. Misted on the Champagne Gold and flat-out hated it. The metal flake was way to big. I'm in the process of over-spraying the solid color Sand Beige. May not be 100% accurate but it looks much better - stay tuned.
mustang1989 Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Man I hate it when that happens JC. Looking very much forward to the recovery. Hang in there JC as this one'll be another good one in the books when its finished.
Lowlife ! ! Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Wow I missed this one JC, incredible work so far !

djflyer Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Just happened to see one at the Road America Historic races this past weekend. Was in un-restored/barn-find condition but they did have it on the track for some laps.
afx Posted July 24, 2017 Author Posted July 24, 2017 (edited) Would love to see any pictures you care to share David. Edited July 24, 2017 by afx
