bbowser Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 (edited) My latest completion. These ICM kits are not for the faint of heart, but they have great details and scale appearance. I've had this one on the bench since January and finally got all the little brass bits attached. Just don't breathe on it too hard! Comments welcome, thanks for looking. DumpyDan Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Wow that looks great, I wanted to see what these look like put together. Great work Bruce
espo Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Outstanding detail work. That really does look delicate.
stavanzer Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 I've been putting off getting one of the ICM Model T's. Looks like I've got to pull the trigger on this one. What a fantastic build.
Tom Geiger Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Very nice! It looks like it could be one of Harry's models!
Eric Macleod Posted June 10, 2017 Posted June 10, 2017 I agree that your model looks great. I find the headlamp forks a bit odd on this kit as I think they put the lamps too low and too far forward. No fault of tours, just something I would want to address. I like all the little brass accessories on this kit, which would lend themselves to a great speedster project. Nicely done.
bbowser Posted June 10, 2017 Author Posted June 10, 2017 Very nice! It looks like it could be one of Harry's models! Wow Tom, high praise indeed! It's nowhere near one of Harry's builds but I like to think he would have enjoyed the subject. I find the headlamp forks a bit odd on this kit as I think they put the lamps too low and too far forward. Thanks Eric. Those headlight brackets are a bear, I didn't mount them to the frame in the order the instructions said but at the end and had a real hard time. They still don't quite line up.I must say this is a very challenging kit, and satisfying once it's completed. I built the runabout and still have the Touring body in the stash.
geetee66 Posted June 10, 2017 Posted June 10, 2017 Your efforts paid off.Superb build. It does look quite fiddly, but the results easily justify the challenge.
CometMan Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 That does look like a tough build, but well worth the effort. Well done, Bruce!
Wagoneer81 Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 You certainly did that kit justice. Looks great! I've been looking really hard at their T kits... After seeing this, I think I'll be picking them up.
Bobchayer Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Excellent build. Seeing this has inspired me to get started on the ICMs piling up in the shelf.
