Got this puppy in a trade with a fellow FAST member.  It was a convertible so grafted on a roof, put on a set of Pegasus Phat Daddy wheels with disc brakes, took it down and shot it with HOK wild cherry kandy over an orion silver base.

Always thought the Larks were kinda cool looking anyway, but with that paint job it really looks outstanding. The shape of the roof looks almost as if it could have been a convertible top at one time. Makes you wish it was real.

Jim, your paint jobs are second to none! That color is so fantastic looking especially in the sunlight! B)

And yes, that roof graft could certainly have passed for stock if Studebaker would have had the guts and taken GM's lead in offering that back then.

Very nice Jim.  I'm currently piddling with a 1959 Lark promo that I picked up on EBAY.  I'm using the interior from a 1960 promo, and I'll be building the car stock for my "Class of '59" collection.

Thanks much guys.

It was a convertible top that I filled in to get it flatter.  A friend did an identical Lark but he used a Chevy bubble top.  It looks real good but I wasn't about to destroy an old Chevy.
