DeeCee Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 (edited) Wanted something different, so i kept the 6 cylinder, and scratch built an inlet manifold, home made injection, and headers made from solder. Bobbed the rear end, as i did not like the tray. A lot of work went into lowering it, wheels are from the spares box. Paint is candy red over silver and black base. Edited July 25, 2017 by DeeCee
crazyjim Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 OMG!!!! Beautiful paint and very nice detail. SHINY RULES!
Steven Zimmerman Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Beautiful build, some interesting facets there ! Does anyone have ,or know where I can get, a set of these EXACT wheels ? Thanks, Steven Zimmerman
Steven Zimmerman Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 They look like big rig wheels.Probably are, and I have similar wheels that fit 23" PEGASUS tires, but looking for a wheel similar to that above, that I could modify to fit the smaller PEGASUS 19" tire. And the wheels on D.C.'s truck appear smaller than 23" , IMHO....'Z'
misterNNL Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 This screams out for a custom ride for that bed.If you're looking to stay on that "something different" theme I suggest a motorized drifting trike with paint that matches your amazing truck. Thanks for sharing
Silver Foxx Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Real nice work Dale , looks great , love the colour .
Slotto Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Beautiful truck! A true show piece. What happened around the windshield on the passenger side?
espo Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Very nice build. Great color and finish. I like that you did something with the old "Blue Flame" 6 cylinder. Maybe some optional steak bed sides for the bed ??
DeeCee Posted July 25, 2017 Author Posted July 25, 2017 Beautiful build, some interesting facets there ! Does anyone have ,or know where I can get, a set of these EXACT wheels ? Thanks, Steven ZimmermanThanks Steve, i think they are 1/32 scale big rig .
DeeCee Posted July 25, 2017 Author Posted July 25, 2017 Beautiful truck! A true show piece. What happened around the windshield on the passenger side? Thanks everybody, i am very happy with the result, EXCEPT for the chip in the paint where the windscreen was just too tight a fit after all the paint..
redneckrigger Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 That is beautiful work.................LOVE the paint! I wish my real one that has been languishing in my garage for the last 25 years looked half as good!
