curt raitz Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 I've just finished a few models which have been on the bench awaiting completion. This is one of them. The 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint Hardtop from Trumpeter. The only modification I did was replace the "skinny" wheels/tires with some out of the "parts box". I wanted a nice burgundy color, ended up mixing up my own with a few Tamiya aerosol paints. Then covered it with Tamiya's PS-58 Clear Pearl. Thanx for looking'...
TarheelRick Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 Really sweet Falcon. That is a nice color and very good foil work. Good job.
donb Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 Very sharp build Curt! Parts box wheels look great too!
CometMan Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Nice work, Curt. My parents had one that color that was their first new car, (beige interior, though), that brings back alot of memories! Thanks for sharing!
Classicgas Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Very well done. Trumpeter dropped the ball by not making the chassis stock, it's mildly tubbed.
Curt Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 (edited) Nice work, Curt. It's hard to get the stance right on this car and you nailed it better than I did.. Edited July 19, 2017 by Curt Pic too big
Bernard Kron Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 (edited) Nice one! Factory stock well done always commands respect, IMHO. Given your abilities in recreating 60's U.S. factory racer sedans it would be cool to see your take on this one in its Monte Carlo rally form: Edited July 19, 2017 by Bernard Kron
Sixties Sam Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Really sweet Falcon. That is a nice color and very good foil work. Good job.X2! Great model! I always liked Falcons.Sam
retired & glad Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Very nice Falcon. I had a '63 1/2 Falcon that they put the first V8 in. Wish I still had that one. 3 speed on the column shifting and back then, I couldn't take off from a stand still without spinning the tires. Went through 4 sets of tires the first year I had it. Phildaupho Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 You did a fabulous job building this often criticized [for valid reasons - IMA] kit. I especially like the Shelby wheels.
