RandyB. Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Buttoned up this AMT 1966 Buick Wildcat painted in Tamiya TS-60 Pearl Green.
Ron Hamilton Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 The color combination suits that car fine. Very nice!!!
Metaldrumm Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Very nice build and a cool color, something different from the norm.
Dodge Driver Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Fantastic Buick Randy! The fender gills and side trim look especially realistic. Did you modify the headlights? I think I see lenses in there. That kit has molded-in headlights IIRC.
MrObsessive Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Beautiful Randy! One of Bill Mitchell's best designs to come out of GM in that era!
peekay Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Excellent! I have this kit on my "to sell" list but this build has made me think again.
bbowser Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Great looking model, very clean paint and foil work.
Super28 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 (edited) Like the build. Clean and stockHow do you paint without losing the name plates and emblems on the body? Edited July 30, 2017 by Super28
donb Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Excellent build if a favorite Buick. Color goes with the car. Those Wildcat wheels are beautiful!
espo Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Very sharp clean build. Looks like it's on the new car showroom floor.

RandyB. Posted July 31, 2017 Author Posted July 31, 2017 Like the build. Clean and stockHow do you paint without losing the name plates and emblems on the body?Just light coats of paint. I like Tamiya spray paints. Never seem to go on heavy obscuring the scripts.
High octane Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Very nice job on that Wildcat build Randy and I love that factory color too. Hey Tamiya is a factory isn't it? I always paint my model car bodies with as few coats of primer, color, and clear as I can get away with so that I don't bury the scripts.
