Sixties Sam Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Hey, guys. I built this 63 Corvette Snap-Tite kit four years ago and never posted it here. It's a pretty simple OOB build with the addition of a top and rear window from a Vette model I built in the 1960's (1965 maybe?). Color is Krylon almond with a bright orange interior. I like these simple kits!
Snake45 Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Very, very nice indeed! I've built two of these, and two of the coupes, and have yet to paint any of them--just polished the plastic. Yours came out great!
XJ6 Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 WOW, that is Super Nice, really like the colors.
espo Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Very clean looking build. The color contrast between the body and interior really standout. Is the top done as a Vinyl covered top ?? I think this was an option at that time.
randyc Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 VEry nice. the older I get, the more I enjoy a simple kit. You can work on the details and make them very nice models. And besides, how often do you turn them over or show the engine details? Nice build!

I have one in the collection and am trying to work it to the top.
RestoModGuy Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Well done! I like the snappers to build as well, helps break the burn-out on the big detail builds.
smhardesty Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Exceptional result from a snap kit. I happen to have a '63 Vette snap kit. Yours gives me inspiration, for sure.
Sixties Sam Posted September 20, 2017 Author Posted September 20, 2017 Is this a Revell? Yes, it is. Sam
Dave42 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Love color combo. To me it nails the vintage look. Clean too, very nice.
disabled modeler Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Very nice..! I too like the snappers....who cares if they dont have an engine they still make great builds like this one...I enjoy the simple curbside builds snappers offer.
Tom Geiger Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Nice work! A very pleasing model! That is a very nice kit. Detail is well done and there is very little clean up necessary. It's fun to work on a project where all the work is in the finish. I enjoyed painting all the interior details on mine. And you get a nice shelf model in the end.

These snapper Vettes are just lovely and fun to work with.
kilrathy10 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 That looks quite good....Very good...Especially for a snap model....Excellent work....
mikemodeler Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 One of my favorite cars and models! I have multiple builds of this kit and love how easily they go together and how great they look when done. Nice color choices and the hardtop is a nice addition.
Dann Tier Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 Excellent!!!!!..........doesn't even look like a snap kit! -love the diorama as well!!!
Eric Macleod Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Very nice. Can you tell us a bit about the background diorama, which i like a lot as well.
