shoopdog Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Beautiful. If I didn't know better I would think it was a die cast or the 1:1.
landman Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Beautiful. If I didn't know better I would think it was a die cast or the 1:1.Same here.
BVC500 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Agreed. beautiful job! I'm interested in getting the '63 to build the getaway car from My Cousin Vinny! I'll need a '64 Skylark as well haha.
smhardesty Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 An extremely well done build. Everything is crisp, clean, and flawless. 2 thumbs up on this one!
bbowser Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Stunning build with extremely crisp paint and foil work! Love that color, too. Beautiful photography as well. "10s" straight across!X2, just an outstanding model car!
disabled modeler Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Stunning work..! Makes me wish I could find the parts for my 63 model.

Plastheniker Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 As expected another fantastic build of yours. Craftmanship, colour choice and photography - perfect in every respect!

Smitty Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 It's like a step back in time! A superb job. Your colour choice is terrific, rather unusual and unexpected. Super photos too.
iamsuperdan Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Wow. Just wow.If you took some outdoor shots, and played with forced perspective, this would be indistinguishable from the real thing!
carman1 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 As the owner of a real 64 you did an outstanding job the only thing I would change is the color of the steering wheel , the 4 spoke wheel represents the factory 64 only wood wheel.

The model came without a steering wheel so I bought a Modelhaus replacement (which represented the standard 2-spoke wheel) but it was broken by the time I got to it. Pity I didn't notice that the 4-spoke should have a wooden rim though - aside from being correct it would have added a dash more colour to an otherwise rather dark interior. It's a bit late now.I think I could have done better with the rear "grille" - looks like the tail lights should have thin chrome strips and the grille between them should match the lights - or is that just on GTOs?I would like to have used the kit's original stock Tempest hubcaps too but couldn't figure out a way to detail them nicely.
