#1 model citizen Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 (edited) I built this one maybe 20 years ago. Box stock build. It was my 1st airbrush effort. White walls were also airbrushed using circle templates. Edited October 9, 2017 by #1 model citizen
David G. Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Nice looking Plymouth. Did you use foil on the trim or paint it?I built one earlier this year, it's a nice kit.David G.
PARTSMARTY Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 I think it looks so sweet and I love these cars !!!

I used foil except for the fender welt. I didn't want the welt to be as shiny as the chrome in hopes that it would give it a more realistic look. Not sure it really worked out that way though
Johnt671 Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 It looks like you finised it today Very nice.
#1 model citizen Posted October 12, 2017 Author Posted October 12, 2017 Thanks to all for your kind comments!
#1 model citizen Posted October 15, 2017 Author Posted October 15, 2017 Thank you, Jurgen & Jim, for your kind words.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 I don't know how I missed this one. For sure my kind of build. Can never go wrong with black!!Finish looks great, specially for your first airbrush job. Had this kit in the stash, but traded it for a AMT '57 Thunderbird. I always thought the headlight bezels to be kind of off somehow. Kind off too thick.

I always thought the headlight bezels to be kind of off somehow. Kind off too thick. Thank you for your positive comments.I have to agree about the bezels. It seems thats common problem with various parts in almost any kit, a well as some parts & details being slightly out of scale. I would like them all to be perfect yet I marvel at the very fact the people creating these kits do far better than I ever could and probably have certain parameters & limitations they have to deal with. And then there are the super modelers who have the skills, patience & time to correct those flaws. I am not one unfortunately. Some day maybe...
peekay Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Looks great! Nice to see this kit done stock and with all the chrome trim done correctly.
#1 model citizen Posted October 16, 2017 Author Posted October 16, 2017 Thanks Peter! I probably spend as much or more time researching as I do building & I love MoPars so I always try to do them as correctly as I can.
