unclescott58 Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Looking forward to the AMT 1/32 scale Corvette and the 1/16 scale Honda motorcycle. Now if we can get Round 2 to reissue AMT's 1/32 scale '32 Ford, '40 Ford, and '60 Thunderbird. The 1/32 Indy would be okay too. I'd buy it.
Rob Hall Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 (edited) I've seen this snap Charger issue listed as the 'City Slicker' on some vendor sites, so it's an urban cousin to the 'Country Charger' issue. LoL.. Edited March 23, 2018 by Rob Hall
ChrisBcritter Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 That's the problem with hiring child labor.

57peppershaker Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Guess the chargeller is the old GL ? Real nice box art though. Cool Monaco with a nice addition. Wonder if the Batmobile is due with a figure too ? I'd plunk down the cash for a 69 & Goon car

57peppershaker Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Sorry Casey, I didnt see previous posts. Also answers my batmobile question (do pay attention at the back Peppershaker)

Also answers my batmobile question (do pay attention at the back Peppershaker) No apologies necessary. There's a lot to keep track of when Round2 switches the brand labeling, when two '69 Dodge Chargers are involved, and when the DOH packaging goes away too. It's interesting to see Round2 including the figures, similar to what Revell has (or at least had) done for a few years. I'm sure the pre-painted figures alone will move a few kits.
57peppershaker Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Im sure it will Casey. Ive bought a few RM kits just for the figures, then moved the kits on.

I suspect this preliminary box art was going to be used for the full-detail/"glue" version of MPC's '69 Dodge Charger kit, due to the presence of the optional American Racing Torq Thrust II style wheels, which the SnapFit kit does not include. The presence of the '71 Charger grille inserts is another factor, as you pointed out. Brett posted some content pics in a previous topic covering the SnapFit version of MPC's '69 Dodge Charger kit here:
Rob Hall Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 I don't have the snap kit, but it wouldn't surprise me if Round 2 copied the erroneous grill inserts from the old glue kit..

57peppershaker Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 The snapper is a pretty good kit. I think a move to TT2 wheels ect (looking at boxart, which is quite appealing) could be a good move. I have the GL snap issue and would buy more as snappers work for me at the mo.
