tiking Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 (edited) This is a build I have been working on for some time now. It's a heavy modification of the M915 kit from Trumpeter. As always, I decided to spice things up a bit. I wanted to do something different. So, I kit-bashed the trailer and tractor to bring forth this combo unit. The name came about by using the first number of the M915 and the 2 last digits of the M872 trailer. Hence, M972, which is a combination of both. The Hitachi excavator is from Hasegawa which I built as a burnt out model. The idea came from the pic I found while searching the web. Lots of pics. Hope you like the results. How did the kit parts fit together? I haven't seen many of these get built. Yours is the second trumpeter m915 kit I've seen.BenThe M915 kit contains both semi-trailer and tractor. I heavily modified the kit to make it a single flatbed. The kit is great and well detailed. I just don't like the tires mounting method. They could have improved in that area. I was hoping for something more like Italeri's Tyre mounts. The most easiest tyres to mount.Excellent work, totally realistic!!!Much appreciated.Man, you've got a great eye for detail Charles!!!!!!!Thank you kindly.
tbill Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 what a fantastic build, as mentioned, if photographed outside it would be tough to tell if it was real or a model. great work!
