Here are the winning wheels.  The front is a replica of American Racing Lemans wheel that I modified and R&M cast for me.

I saw this one today at the club meeting. I am very impressed. Seeing it made me work some more on the '62. It's all cleaned up now and ready for primer.

Thanks Ron.  You were taunting me with your '62. :)

A forum friend made some photo-etch grilles for himself and was kind enough to share one with me.

The '62 cleaned up nicely. I am still deciding on the direction, as I have what I need to do it as a Replica Stock, but yours looks so good, I may reconsider.

Thank you for the comments gentlemen.

Very impressed with AMT's FE engine from the '60 Ford.  Rivals the detail of Fujimi's EM kits IMHO.  Collectors are made from heat shrink tubing.

What '60 Ford kit are you referring to?   It looks great.

I haven't been on the site in ages. Nice to see you still at it on this one JC. What texturing method did you use on the cinder blocks? I have a pair of those and want to paint them up too.

Great work on this so far! That motor is a work of art by itself. I also am glad to see the final wheel choice, I like them much more than the spindle mounts you had on it early on. The current wheels fit the gasser look much better! Can't wait to see this one finished!

Hey Mitch.  For the blocks I held the air brush well back while I was spraying.   Low air pressure might give the same effect but I don't have a regulator on my compressor.

Thanks Roger. I like these wheels better too Larry, thanks.
