Don Wheeler
What's the best method to touch up the spots where sprue connected to chromed parts? Do you use a dab of silver paint or some other color? Thanks, Don

Snake45
I've been using a Silver Sharpie, but those Molotows have gotten such rave reviews here that I had to break down and buy one (they're expensive and not easy to find), though I haven't used it yet. bobthehobbyguy
Another option is to remove nub from cutting off tree. Put a dab of alclad black and let dry and the a dab of alclad chrome.

I got my first one at Hobby Lobby last week. With the coupon it was around $8. It's excellent for that little dab of chrome. I've also used it for dashboard knobs and other areas where one dab of chrome is needed. You cannot paint with it, as it dries quickly and going over an area again distorts what you've already applied. That 40% off coupon is a great way to pick up women at Hobby Lobby! I'm amazed at how many people don't know about it and are walking around with a basket full of expensive items. On that last trip there was a long line at the cash register. The lady behind me had a large item so I casually mentioned the coupon holding up my phone. She was very thankful, as was the lady behind her who was also listening. I guess Hobby Lobby deserves that for having long lines! And if I was single, I could do very well there!
