I think it was an attempt at humor since today's date is 1/25 and those companies mainly produce 1/25th scale kits that this should be "Model Day" or something. Of course, it could also be "Scale Haters Day" for those who think all models should be 1/25th scale, since I don't remember seeing anything like this on 1/4, 1/6, 1/9, 1/12, 1/16, 1/20, or 1/24 and I'm sure 1/28 will get no love either.

Fans of those scales are free to post their own happy days. BTW, don't make the logical fallacy of assuming that because a person likes one particular thing, he automatically must "hate" all other things. Non seqitur.

Mark Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 So, that could make today (1/26) "happy box-sized 1/24 scale diecast day"...

I think I have a diecast '65 Riviera that's marked on the underside as 1/26. And then I have a diecast '70 GSX that I measured at 1/26.5. (I forget if that one has the scale molded on the chassis.)
Lizard Racing Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 This is like Pi Day, 3/14. We need a fun thread like this occasionally.
