lghtngyello03 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 What's up guys? I haven't had the chance to build or post in the past year almost, working 84 hrs a week will do that to you, lol. After a year of sitting on my bench, I finally finished this one up. Paint is ScaleFinishes Chevrolet Safari Yellow with ScaleFinishes clear. The wheels are from Steve Zimmerman and all the chrome is painted with Spazsitx chrome. All the trim for the chrome around the vinyl roof was made by me, as well as the trim on the top of the door and around the rear tail light center panel. The roof is sprayed with Tamiya Semi Gloss Black. Interior is flocked, and seat belts were added. I had to slam it down to get that aggressive nice stance. The BMF on this one tested my patience, lol but I feel it turned out alright. My only complaint is the grille, not the greatest for detail, and I couldn't figure out the ModelCarGarage grill worked out.
berr13 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 I like it! Great color, and a really nice job under the hood!! A tip of the old modeling hat to you, sir.
Hmann68 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Absolutely beautiful! The roof turned out fantastic, the details in and out are great!
tmb727 Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 That's a gorgeous engine bay. How did you get the texture for the vinyl roof before you applied the semi-gloss black?

DeeCee Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 That is very nicely done, love the wheel choice too.
vintagercr Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 I like to way you did the vinyl roof. Nice clean build.

mikemodeler Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Great job on that Scott, sorry I missed at the show last week.
espo Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Great looking build. I like the detailing of the chassis, and the thin film of "rust" on the mufflers. The trim for the vinyl roof looks just like OEM. The interior is very realistic looking. This is a great kit, and I love the subject. I had a '72 Monty that I picked up in the late '70's and it served me well and one of the best handling big cars on the open road.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Amazing model. Not only the color is great, but the vinyl top looks just right.
6bblbird Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Very well done, especially the engine compatment!

Glad you were able to unload some of your kits though. 6 hours ago, espo said: Great looking build. I like the detailing of the chassis, and the thin film of "rust" on the mufflers.
