502 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 This car is just outstanding. I always enjoy watching your build threads because your work is so dang clean.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 I'm a Ford guy, that's no secret. That being said, the 1958 Ford is like a heavier less elegant version of the fantastic design from 1957. For me there is no car, by any manufacturer in the 1950s that can touch the 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 series in elegance, grace, and harmony. Yes, I really love the '57. What you did was to make the heavy looking '58 front end more harmonious, but I think it's even heavier than the original with the massive taillights used. That was the part I didn't like on the concept. The execution is top notch.
OldTrucker Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 That is a real beauty! I captures the feeling of the era of true custom cars. Without going overboard on the modifications like so many did back then! I believe the 58 was a vast design improvement on the 57 platform! I liked that it broke away from the big round taillights (even though they went back in a BIG way in 59 LOL)
bamadon Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 John, your work and attention to detail is an inspiration. I can see this car in a car show in the 60's with the color and changes you made.
