Bucky Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 There has been at least one Cheetah kit in the past:
russosborne Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 The Cheetah was one of my favorite slot cars back in the 60's. I was a bit young, born in 59, but my dad was huge into racing slot cars and I even got to have one or two. I like most wild customs, but this one has never been one of those. Yuck. Russ
MrObsessive Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 I'd LOVE to see a Cheetah kit! Missed out on the Modelhaus body they offered (coulda done a lot with that), and I thought that Mini Exotics used to do one too? That one now is also unobtainium. Just goes to show that when you see an esoteric body or kit and you have the opportunity to buy it.............DO IT! You'll just end up kicking yourself later!

Psychographic Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 I wish I knew Modelhaus made a Cheetah. Was it available at the time they closed? I found one on ebay, but it was so rough I wouldn't build it stock, but that's Okay because I never build anything stock.

We've only been clamoring for the model companies to make this for 50 years. I'd be happy to see those. May I second the motion here ?
bobthehobbyguy Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Although the cheetah would be fun to see seriously doubt that enough units could be sold to make it economically feasible. Just too limited appeal. Best chance would be a resin kit.

Khils Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 My vote.......Cheetah! Seen two sell on evil bay in past.....one decent ( not mint ) & one pretty rough.....BOTH way out of my budget!!!

At least you have some build options. What options do you have with these? A race car & a show rod. That's excitement! Steve
1930fordpickup Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 None of the above. Not enough money in sales for a Cheetah kit for it to be worthwhile in my opinion.
OldNYJim Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Both! A new showrod AND a Cheetah would be amazing!
