Well worth the $88 or so; the quality is excellent as is the packaging. I've had worse Modelhaus kits that cost more $$... Hi, You are right, they make nice kits, there R380 listing at ~$95; https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10528767/20/1 Edited April 11, 2018 by aurfalien
niteowl7710
In regards to the Modeler's Resin stuff - it's if nothing else, exceptionally well packed. I have the newer WRX STi, Honda S660, & NiSMO 370Z and they're all some really nice pieces that I think are worth the money, especially considering what some places sell transkits for these days. With the D'Station & MOLA R35s coming out, that will allow the modeler to "field" the entire Nissan lineup from the GT500 Division of Super GT in 2014. There's a deep dark corner of my modeling hoard that is hoping they go onto the NSX-GT and Lexus Super GT cars from 2014 so I could build a diorama of the entire GT500 starting grid. There's a pretty decent cross section of kits and aftermarket decals to do a chunk of the GT300 field from 2014 as well. Camry? HECK YES! da_ashman
Hope Aoshima do a final version of the LB R35 GTR with the V2 kit that was released eariler this year, Looks like they could easily do an updated 2017 GTR too if theyve already got the new bumper & ligths for the LB1.5. The Civic is cool. Hope Tamiya releases something, thought they just did the Sf70h so not likely.

Bennyg
I’m surprised Tamiya haven’t done the LaFerrari Aperta. Ben

Ben I'm not surprised, Tamiya (and Revell Germany) often ignore later/popular variants of kits they've done. It might come down to more new trees of parts required than they want to invest in. Since I've seen the FXX-K Evo's screaming around Road Atlanta recently, I'd love to see Tamiya offer that. I just don't expect it...perhaps Hobby Design or ?? will do a resin based transkit for the initial FXX-K. It would need new front/rear fascias and a new engine cover/spoilers, new front/rear diffusers.

niteowl7710
The show is open, so let's take a look around - courtesy of Masahiko Nakasone First up some new announcements for NuNu Hobby. Two more versions of the M6, one with the front fender vents that are part of the 24hrs of Nurburgring Endurance package, the other a "Sprint" package which might include solid plates to cover the lower endurance driving lights, or might just be a different livery - this team had the former DTM Champion Martin Tomczyk driving for it in at least one race. Secondly the announcement of a new kit - the 2016-2018 Porsche 911 GT-3 R Release Dates are - Falken M6 - June Team Italia M6 - August 911 GT-3 R - "We hope in 2018" Edited May 10, 2018 by niteowl7710
niteowl7710
Over at Beemax we got this teaser on their FB Page That would be a Gr. A Mitsubishi Starion on the left, and a 2nd Gen Mitsubishi Lancer A175 Rally car on the right. The Starion ran in multiple series including JTCC, the Guia Race of Macau, and also did quite well in SCCA (of course that would require you to convert it to LHD). Then in things we know are coming, here are photos of the Audi, Porsche 935 K2, and Lancia Delta S4. Of note the 935 in engineered so that the back half of the car is effectively separate pieces, so expect more Kremer variants in the future. niteowl7710
Over at Aoshima, the new tool is the Nissan Skyline R34 25 GT 4 Door - of which there's a prototype on display. They also have the Toyota Corolla Levin 1500 on display with it's new base model wheels.
niteowl7710
Last but not least, over at Hasegawa they had built production models of both R31 Skylines as well as the little Civic racecar, and a prototype of the Mitsubishi Colt Galant GTO-MR. Interesting bit of design on the R31 to create the trunks as a separate piece allowing them to tool a Gr. A trunk with fuel fillers, and a street car trunk without with the half & half compromise of either making race car builders bore out the holes while leaving half filled sink mark divots for the street version. fumi
Interesting choice for the Starion, I'd have expected the Group B rally variant to go with the Audi and the Lancia instead of the Group A road racer. If Beemax is going to release significant cars that raced in Macau then the next logical subject should be the 190E Evo 2.

Chuck Most
Never thought I'd see a new kit of a Starion... maybe it's time to build that crappy motorized Fujimi version I've had kicking around for a while. Wonder if I should hold my breath for a wide body version, either from Beemax or an aftermarket caster...
Muncie
thank you for posting the pics and reports - not my usual but looks like some nice kits. Mitsubishi Colt Galant GTO-MR - I see it as a phantom Dodge fastback hemi-colt. that should make the list! Looks like a July release. Are there any good Hasegawa dealers that would carry it in the U.S.?

Are there any good Hasegawa dealers that would carry it in the U.S.? Order it from Japan via HobbyLink Japan or the like. Even with shipping it'll be $10-15 cheaper than the U.S. price. Right now Hasegawa doesn't have a U.S. Distributor with Revell closing.

That 100% mark-up game is ridiculous in 2018 with global hobby commerce.
