502 Posted February 7, 2019 Author Posted February 7, 2019 Thanks guys, just finished up the 4 link. Shock mounts and steering are up next.
502 Posted March 12, 2019 Author Posted March 12, 2019 Had this rack and pinion setup laying around. I just cut and modified it to fit.
DrKerry Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Very nice work Justin!! Like the look of it... kind of looks familiar in some way... LOL, I have one similar... Will be watching..
Bespoke Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 I really like the way this is looking. Love the chassis and it's detail. Wheels are fantastic, i'll have to look into those
502 Posted March 26, 2019 Author Posted March 26, 2019 Thanks for the comments guys. It’s slow going but any progress is good progress right? Built my fuel cell today. I’m gonna work on mounting my tank and compressors next.

502 Posted May 23, 2019 Author Posted May 23, 2019 Just a few more updates, made some tiny mounts for my sway bar endlinks. Also knocked out a tank and compressor mount. The last picture is just detail work to my bag plates.
Rusty92 Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Beautiful work. The air system looks good. Air the compressors from Shapeways? I think I have the same but I’m looking to make some Zeniths.
89AKurt Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Nice.... have to ask what model kit you started with, the AMT is a '69-'72 (depending on the grill), I thought only promos came as '68. The side trim around the wheel well is the big difference for the molded on trim. BTW I own a '68 Long Bed, survivor.

fordlover632 Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 So is most of the parts printed in resin by a resin printer. or are they cased in resin like the compressors and diff.

Ron Hamilton Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 I'm watching "Texas Metal" as I am writing this . You are doing an excellent job. I love the wheel and tire choice. I have a 72 under way, where I shortened the bed. I'm leaning more towards a simpler model, utilizing mostly kit parts. After looking at your build, I have to get back to mine.
Scott8950 Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 very nice. that frame and suspension work is very nice.
AUGIEDOGGIE Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 look sharp I like what you have so far keep up the great work!
502 Posted March 25, 2020 Author Posted March 25, 2020 A lot has happened since I last posted. I’m not as active on the forums anymore. You can follow me @lowlifescale on Instagram if you’re on there. I post updates pretty frequently. Here’s some updates. I’ve been doing a lot of scratch work. Interior and engine bay is pretty much done. I also finished up the floor pans.
89AKurt Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Appreciate all the scratch-building you are doing! You want better exterior door handles?

Yea, those door handles would be a big help. Do you know someone that makes them or have a tip for making my own?
