mikemodeler Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Love it! Great job on the detailing. I have always thought it is harder to build a model like this than a stock box build with shiny paint. A lot more skill than I have!
Janne Herajärvi Posted September 18, 2018 Author Posted September 18, 2018 Thank you guys.. So far this was my 3rd time i did patina & weathered look for my models.. Secret is only to learn and practice..
Oldcarfan27 Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Hard to imagine one of these getting abused down to this point, but since it would've been just a used car in the 80s, I'm sure it was possible. Your's sure is a realistic depiction of how it would look. I especially like the open door "guts" on the drivers side. Cool job!
espo Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 So many subtle details, the longer I look at the pictures the more details I notice.
bobthehobbyguy Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Nice job. Great save by changing direction and weathering it. Very realistic weathering. Some times a model tells you how it want to be finished.
Hooked on Chaparral Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 How cool is this...? Some of you guys just blow me away with your imaginations. That is a righteous ride for sure
Dominik Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 cooooooooool. thats really cool. Well done!
stevehansen Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Too cool, phenomenal job on the weathering!!!
Janne Herajärvi Posted September 26, 2018 Author Posted September 26, 2018 Thank you guys! I`m really happy with results of this build, since it was long time stalled just because i did not have luck with painting it.. But after all i guess i was just lucky, without bad paint job results this would be yet another shiny, yellow, red or metallic blue BMW Nothing wrong with them of course
