droogie Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 I just wonder about people who come on model building forums and then mostly post in the off topic sub forums.

What do you wonder, exactly? There are some intelligent people here, with knowledge and ideas and opinions. And though we're brought together by a common interest, like in any meetings of people who are brought together by common interests, conversations inevitably spring up about other things. Happens at club meetings, the PTA, after church, etc.
Bucky Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 I think....KEEP IT!! Where else can you find out what John Q. Public had for dinner, or who is Joe Blow's Celebrity Crush?? HAHAHAHAHAHA

We're modelers, but we still have other ideas & interests. Most of us can walk & chew gum at the same time. Steve

JollySipper Posted September 27, 2018 Author Posted September 27, 2018 The off topics here give us a closer and more personable look at some of the characters here on the board. There's a Lot of threads in the Lounge that are still auto related in some way.............

Belugawrx Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 and its the 5th largest category on the whole board with over 75,000 posts... and least amount of rivet counting.... hehehe
Dave Ambrose Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 I don’t see us getting rid of this forum. It’s part of what makes us a community. Many of our troublesome threads are here. Sometimes one of us moderators gets frustrated, and suggests dropping it, but it dissipates.

I suppose I can see their point to some degree, but my usual suggestion to them, is to simply not read any of it.
