DumpyDan Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 This was a project I have wanted to do for many years, I have always got a kick out of seeing other builders Christmas builds. The story behind the ECO rod is….. Santa scoops up snow with the ground scoops, then snow goes through the copper pipes to the machining rods, which converts the snow to fuel to run the motor, to make enough horse power to make it around the world in one night. I know it sounds a little complicated, but with a little Christmas magic anything can happen.
peter31a Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Great concept, well done. Love the chains on the slicks.
Chuck Most Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Once sucked into the engine, the snow powder is heated in a special magical boiler to produce steam pressure, which then drives the engine. There- mystery solved

vintagercr Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 That is so cool Dan. Love your imagination!

Jantrix Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 I dig it. I've been meaning to build something with a similar theme, but as I get in the Christmas spirit for about 1.5 days, it's not likely to happen.
89AKurt Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Glad to see the formerly known as Red Baron exhaust tips were drilled out. Did you cut thin strips of decal to do the candy cane tie rods? Fun model!
gasser59 Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 (edited) Nice builds guys. Speaking of Christmas themed builds, I've always wanted to build this. Would need an appropriate snowman or I suppose I could make one.. Edited November 28, 2018 by gasser59
ewetwo Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 That's awesome. You could build those and sell them on eBay for Christmas.

espo Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Very cute. To bad they no longer let Santa you Studded Snow Tires.
STYRENE-SURFER Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Fun build Dan. Candy cane radius rods are a nice touch. Wasn't water injection a fad back in the 50's or 60's?
PorkChopPaws Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Looks like we have lots of fuel based on your model.....
