RandyB. Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Just finished up this pretty basic kit originally tooled in the '60's. I was told the kit was originally a '61 Ranchero fitted with a newly tooled grille to make it a '60 Ranchero to represent "Ohio" George Montgomery's drag racer. The downside to this is the engine that comes with the kit is a Chevy big block 454. Would have been nice if a Ford engine had been offered as an option. The grille stuck out too far so I dremeled off about a 1/16 of an inch off of the lower portion of the front fenders so the bumper could move back and removed the tabs under the top of the front fenders that the grille glues against in order to get the grille/bumper recessed back for a more accurate look.
TooOld Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 That's really nice Randy ! I like how you moved the bumper and grille back for a more realistic look , Great job !
Snake45 Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Another super-clean Randy B trademark build! I always enjoy seeing your stuff. Well done and model on!
Dave Darby Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 I love it! What did you end up putting under the hood?

It was an easy fix. Edited January 8, 2019 by RandyB.
