dragmodels44
Well, I finished it today. A lot of weathering and I decided to make a base for it with a pic of the way it was when it was in the barn. If you look you’ll see the stripes are identical to the original ones on the car. If you look closely at the underside you’ll see the C6 trans oil pan also. Hope you like it and thanks for looking. I think this was a great example of turning lemons into lemonade! NOBLNG
Nicely done! I think it is harder to get a realistic looking weathering job than a show-car shine.
Deuces
Cool.... A '69 Z/28 parked next to it would be awesome.... Larry also did some design work on the Z/28 before he followed the leader to FMC.... Long story... ?? Edited March 7, 2019 by Deuces
dragmodels44
It wasn’t my original plan but I’m happy with the results. Thanks!
vamach1
I like it a lot. Perhaps now you can do an after or as when new version. Has the real car been restored yet? Edited March 7, 2019 by vamach1

FordRodnKustom
Outstanding recreation! Good job on the specific details and the display base.
espo
First off this is very well done indeed. This is such an iconic car for it's place with Ford and it's designer Mr. Shinnoda it at first seems a shame to not have it pristine looking. But to display it in it's present condition also required far more building skills and its appearance is very realistic looking.
dragmodels44
Thanks for all the compliments! It was challenging to do it “ as found “ because I haven’t done many others like that. Thanks again.
