Eero Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 I recently finished also this Mooneyes themed Hasegawa Pick-up. Rust and patina is made with hairspray and salt technique. I also opened the roof and added that mexican blanket there.
duffy-duck21 Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Wow what a great and clean build. Love the rusty look. I also like the little details (antenna, gear shifter, Michelin-man). Everything looks very realistic.
Intmd8r Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Really appreciate the level of detail and execution on this. Where did you get the scale Michellen Man?
crazyjim Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 If only it were shiny. Excellent weathering though.
LouO Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 not normally my kind of thing, but this is really cool and really great work and detailing
Koellefornia Kid Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Wow, that is cool! The patina, the wheel covers, the stance, the details... Just wow!
Slimguy Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 I really like what you did on this model. It is fantastic. The detailing you did was nicely thought out. I have this kit and I am trying to decide what to do with it. May I ask, how did you lower it? That is precisely the stance I had in mind for mine.
Oldcarfan27 Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 That truck wasn't lowered, looks like the rust ate up all of the floorboards and the body fell down over the chassis. That rust effect is just too realistic!
Sam I Am Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 I just keep coming back to this build. The details just keep going....

Modelbuilder Mark Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Really like this one, lots of nice little subtle elements that make a big difference.
OldNYJim Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 I love it - the mix of patina and new shiny parts is really cool - and I love the color scheme! Nice work!!
