Looks good Dann. Is the hump a part of the original Pantera design, or are you having to add it because of your choice of engine?

No no no to a Chevy or Wankel but it is okay to put a LS into a Delorean. :D

Actually it would be perfect to put a PONTIAC into a DeLorean!

Arg... so now Panteras are being hacked up for customs?  (sigh)...

Can you use any of these photos?  I thought I had more engine bay shots... must remember that come car-show season!  ?

Thanks, Bud!, yes, Panteras have a Tranny Access Panel(hump). I had to cut out the stock(smaller) one in order to make a larger one for the V12.

They've been customized from the beginning. Since its got a V12, i have no need for engine bay shots, and i have TONS of books, and reference photos, but thanks anyway.

Gotchya!  Gave me an excuse to look through my photo-files, though... sometimes I forget what is in them!  :-)   Good luck with the build.

Hey, everyone! Lately i've been working on nothing but masking, and painting TONS of parts from my many projects, in order that they are all pretty caught up to each other, and i can actually start assembling them all together, and also so that i only have to klean the model room once. I still have a day or so of painting, and i will be back to this, and all the other builds!....thanks for patiently following along!!!...God bless!!!!

Finally back to this one as well!...test fit the interior bits inside the body, and the way i shaped the tranny access panel pushed the seats WAAAAY to far forward, so i needed to reshape.

-Photo 1&2; As you can see....its HORRIBLE!...i may even need a new seat....i will chop the arch off them, and see what i think first.

-Photo 3&4; You can see that i chopped it back at 45* angles, but STILL a wee bit too close...Next step will be for me to notch them out as the pencil lines denote....fingers crossed! -threes the charm, right?...i hope, lol

-Photo 5; Still plenty of space for the rather narrow Lamborghini tranny.

I have toyed with the idea of using the Shelby Series one drivetrain but have not gotten any further just thinking it may work.  I sure wish any model company would save us the trouble and make a kit with the engine and drivetrain.

Don't know anything much about DeTomasos, but I can see I've been missing out! Kind of like a Lamborghini Urraco/early Countach rear-ended a Ferrari 308! ? I definitely like the front skirt/body kit - makes it even meaner!

I havent been feeling well lately, but i did manage to get a little more done....still working on more.

-Photo 1; Finally i have a firewall that fits my custom work. I started to make the seatbelt slots as well.

-Photo 2; I had to make a decision about detailing the center column that has scratches, and weak details on the right side, or sand all the detail away, and remake it....i chose to remake....heres the start. I drilled out the guages, and backed them as well. I think i will SB the shift gate -not sure...may go with an E-gear/paddle set up -maybe both like Pagani?
