cobraman Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 Looks great ! I also like the Bronco in the background.
oldscool Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 I like it. the ladder is perfect right down to the paint stains.
samdiego Posted July 18, 2019 Author Posted July 18, 2019 (edited) Thanks, guys! The ladder is some scrap balsa from a ship model, toothpicks and some photoetch for the hinges and spreader bracket that I still need to add to the side that's showing in the pics. I've also figured out that removing the mounting flanges and putting the windshield in from the outside is way easier than following the instructions. I'll also be putting that front bumper back on for the third time. Edited July 18, 2019 by samdiego
dino246gt Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 Looks great, and very cool ladder! I'd love to see that windshield fitted from outside.
mikemodeler Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 Nice work, love seeing different versions of this kit, gives me ideas for mine!
Chuckyg1 Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Wow, I like this a lot. Gotta pick one up before they're gone. What paint did you use?
samdiego Posted July 19, 2019 Author Posted July 19, 2019 The paint is Odds and Ends "Rain Drop" And Tamiya white. Rain drop is pretty close the Ford green from '66

samdiego Posted July 19, 2019 Author Posted July 19, 2019 Odds and Ends is under the Krylon brand. Found it at Hobby Lobby. I've heard that at least part of that line is the remnants of Pactra.

mikemodeler Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Where did the vise come from? I like what you have done with this truck, could definitely see a sign painter having Cragars on his work truck!
Spex84 Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Beautiful work! That ladder is inspired. The little paint splats and rings are perfect

I've got a 50 year old parts stash. I'm vaguely remembering a van kit from the 70s that had tools, maybe 1/20.
