Brudda Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 A testors 1/24 Ferrari 288 GTO. A tough kit, a lot of sink marks , the plastic was brittle, had to modify the stance, because it would be too high and the tires would stick out of the body. Opened up the rear deck lid. Made the deck lid hinge. Painted the body with a automotive red and a urethane clear coat. The interior was painted with tamiya paints. Pretty much out of box. Added photo etch emblems and vinyl for the Ferrari logos. Hope you like.
Cpt Tuttle Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 The 288 GTO is one of the most beautiful Ferraris and your build is very slick lookin', real eyecandy.

Dann Tier Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 WOW!!!, outstanding job on this difficult kit!! you even did something about the rocker vents! -NOBODY does that!!!
Dominik Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 very nice - beautiful GTO. My alltime favorite Ferrari...they never built a nicer one.
tmathew1us Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 (edited) Wonderful job. Most of the examples I have seen of these Italeri kits have the wheels sticking out way too far. Nice work in correcting that and the stance. Edited July 25, 2019 by tmathew1us correction
