Ron Hamilton
I love this one!!! I have come across three 73-74 Dusters that were someone's aborted restoration projects. I have enough between them and my parts box to do 3 cars. I have to order some decals for them from Slixx.

dragcarz
Thanks everyone, I stacked 3 Fred Cady side decals, to get the red covered. I have a list of things I’d do differently if I was to do it over.....

dragcarz
I had put two coats of clear on the body, and let it dry a week. Today I sanded the body with 1000 grit sandpaper, and applied the final clear coat.
dragcarz
I then turned my attention to completing the interior. I had already flocked the floors. I detailed a parts box steering wheel that resembled the 1to1 car. A parts box shifter with T handle and reverse lock out is installed and the scratch built roll bar and braces. A parts box tachometer and photo etched gages. I still need seat belts and harness.

dragcarz
I had most all of the build complete before starting on the motor.Im still trying to use as many kit components as possible, so I cut the bell housing from the transmission, as the tail shaft was molded to the interior tunnel, and that was removed and I used the 4 speed trans from to AMT 70 Coronet kit. The kits tunnel ram was terrible so I used one from the Johan Sox & Martin Cuda kit and some parts box carburators. I did use the kits headers but added a flange to mount to the heads and K&S aluminum tubing for the collectors. I scratch built the starter, and modified the S&M distributor. I scratch built the front motor plate to resemble the real car. About all that’s left is the final assembly. I’ll post finished pics shortly.
