Impalow Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 This is so cool to watch! I built one of these 1/8 scale monsters when I was a kid since the f40 was one of my favorite cars! Yours is downright amazing, great design touches and truly unique! Great Work!

mirage1980 Posted March 20, 2022 Author Posted March 20, 2022 we come to a question that made me study a lot, namely the hinges of the front hood. Since the machine is very low and more elongated than the original, when it opens it must necessarily stand up at the tip. The system that I will put in fact is this ...
mirage1980 Posted April 15, 2022 Author Posted April 15, 2022 Thanks for your interest. I don't bore you with the many changes I had to make on hubs, attachments and brackets etc. to increase the circumference of the discs. Here are the photos of the final result.
mirage1980 Posted April 15, 2022 Author Posted April 15, 2022 construction of the main ash pan and removal of the extractor and then reassembling it with decal / carbon.
beeRS Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 This is an amazing build. I actually thought some of the pictures of the interior were a 1:1 car. Its a shame that some of the earlier pictures in this thread are no longer displaying for me.
mirage1980 Posted April 17, 2022 Author Posted April 17, 2022 Thanks, about the previous photos I don't understand why they removed them. For those interested can see them here ... https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235063335-ferrari-f40-concept-car-pocher-18/

absmiami Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Thoughts: if Court of the Crimson King is your favorite rock album - its well chosen … thought II. Everyone should try to build a 1/8 sc kit at least once - if you mess up ANYTHING - it looks like a toy - would enjoy seeing you tackle the 8th sc Lotus 72 kit - could i tempt you to back date the C spec kit to build the red, gold, and white Series 1 model …. ?? That would be fun …

?? Sarebbe divertente … thank you very much. Yes King Crimson is one of my favorite bands along with Genesis, Yes, Camel, Mariĺlion etc. Regarding the construction of the Lotus it would be nice but the Pocher kit is not yet available.
Codi Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 The body is perfection. I was thrown off by the color choice but when I checked out your other pics (the link you provided) I saw your inspiration and smiled. Great choice!!! cheers, tim
mirage1980 Posted May 19, 2022 Author Posted May 19, 2022 finished polishing the front hood I wanted to try how it goes with the rest and I really like it
Butter 1 Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 You cant miss a detail if you want a 1/8 model to look right. Yours looks perfect in all aspects. Well done. 1

The main muse is a revisitation of the F40 designed by designer Samir Sadikhov. My intention is to maintain almost all of the pocher kit, modifying it to make it similar to the designer's project, similar because I will also use mine. Images will not load on my Kindle.
