KJ790 Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 I was able to get some outdoor shots this afternoon. This started as an AMT California Hauler that I scratch built a new hood and sleeper for. I shortened the frame and made new wheels and tires as well. The trailer is the new AMT release of the Italeri reefer trailer (with modifications). I was using the truck from the 1973 movie "Road Movie" as the inspiration.
grodudulle77 Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 Awesome, nice work and nice pics !!???
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 You have an amazing talent for capturing that "Vintage" look! Excellent work! Excellent photography!!
Slick Shifter Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 (edited) Exacting realism, right down to the dent in the right front fender. Stunning! Edited December 16, 2019 by Slick Shifter
iamsuperdan Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Folks, this is exactly why we should all be taking pics outside! The lighting is perfect and I think emphasizes the build. Which is also pretty dang good!

Lordmodelbuilder Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 Awesome job replicating the truck & trailer! Your pics outside make them look so real!
1959scudetto Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 You did it again, KJ - fantastic build that looks so real... These needle-nose Petes are my all-time favourites since I saw the movie "duel" in the early 70's: really awesome with excellent photos !!!
SpreadAxle Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Outstanding work. I saw Road Movie. It's a shame what happens to that truck at the end.
gotnitro? Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Stellar results ! Really like how ya capture the classic look of these trucks
