Cool Hand Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 (edited) Built this awhile back, same style as a Buick previously posted. Custom engine bay. Rear section of chassis modified to allow for wheel fitment. Edited December 16, 2019 by Cool Hand
Dragonhawk1066 Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Sharp! Your paint jobs are outstanding!!
PappyD340 Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 BEAUTIFUL, paint is incredible, well done!
matthijsgrit Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Very nice! LOVE the engine bay and the chrome works very well with the black. Great work
Koellefornia Kid Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 I love your smooth black paint jobs! Nice wheels and stance by the way!
espo Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Great looking Monte. Your paint finishes are always so smooth, what type of clear are you using ? I'm vary partial to this body style. We ordered a new 1986 Mont Carlo SS in white with the burgundy interior. We kept it 16 years and got first place at twice with it at Super Chevy Sunday Show at Sears Point in Sonoma California.
iamsuperdan Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 You need to post up a paint tutorial. Your builds are always finished perfectly. This is no exception.
Cool Hand Posted December 17, 2019 Author Posted December 17, 2019 (edited) Thanks 10 hours ago, espo said: Your paint finishes are always so smooth, what type of clear are you using ? No clear, Tamiya TS-14 black doesnt need a clear coat imo. On occasion might wet sand and polish . Most of the time apply a bit of Meguiars Tech Wax 2.0 to remove bmf adhesive that gets left behind after trimming. 7 hours ago, iamsuperdan said: You need to post up a paint tutorial. Have been asked about a tutorial many times, maybe one day. As they say, its all in the prep. Which is especially true with black. Cant go wrong with Tamiya TS-14 black if you apply it just right over a properly prepared surface Edited December 17, 2019 by Cool Hand
bbowser Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 Not a fan of the wheels but that paint is gorgeous! Well done.
