I finished the MotoCompacto and posted it in All The Rest Completed. After seeing the pics blown up to screen size, I see some touchups are needed, but I'm tired.

I'm trying to put the puzzle together from pictures I've taken, Revells Ford Raptor is a great kit snap or not but it would have been easier for me if they made the F350 🙂, the sewage cleaning unit is so odd though so I'm left to my own devices.

A friend sent me a 3D Jeep, I have added sides today to make it into a van! Should the panels be on the inside or the outside?

Just a mock-up, body resting on chassis. Still needs decals and side pipes.

Did you spray over it with red or is that still the pink colour; either way it looks pretty darn cool

I ended up spraying over, it really wasn't sitting well with me on this car.

I've De-chromed an MPC T Buggy! I'm just fed up with scraping chrome off parts, so I'm using oven cleaner!

De-Chromed front and rear wheels, soon to be gloss black!

I had already started building the engine so a few parts escaped dipping!

You can see in the top picture how bad the window posts were bent.. So I figured why not use this body for a little customizing... We'll see how it goes.... I do have the wheel well flares from the Greenwood vette that I might use.....

Let's hope there won't be a blockage in the sewer for a few weeks, months maybe considering how slowly I'm building...IMG_0940.jpeg.43da395dccba8d641fcfe0ad11eec9d2.jpeg

More on the T Buggy, it's now a barn find, the chassis and body are together but the van body is rusty!

Been gradually working on printing parts for a couple of Revell Midget replicas.

Kinda replicas anyway, the body isn’t a perfect match to the original, and I had to do some good old fashioned sculpting with epoxy around the cockpit…these will be a fun little low-stress build though:

The van body is on,. although not a good fit.(look when doors open)  Doors on and working, windscreen is another thing? Too high! So cut a plastic to fit and build frame around it next time. Look closely at the last photo to see the edge of the cut plastic screen.

This buggy looks great 👍.  Way different from what's normally seen. Scratch building opens up a whole new avenue of things, both good and potentially challenging. Just my opinion, the fit on the doors "works" with the patina.

I have finally found a pipe in suitable plastic for the tank, 45 mm or 1 49/64 was not easy to find. Yesterday I got a shot from the hip and realize that I have to widen the box a bit, I have not taken any measurements on the truck that inspired me but consistently relied on my eye measurement.

Update on the 3D Jeep..

28.04.25 DISASTER! Whilst looking at the last coat of paint I dropped the bodyshell and it shattered! I see already some very small bits have flown away!

And now adding parts to the body before painting. 30.04.25  After butterfingers dropped the body and smashed it, I've stuck most of it back together! I'm very pleased to say that the 3D specialist is doing another shell for me in a few weeks!

To me this now screams for a wraparound speedster style wind screen. Right in keeping with your intention to add wheel Flares.

I was also thinking that! There's a kit or two that has the speedster windscreen, too........

if you cant find a speedster screen the glass from an older tuner kit would work. just push it up from inside the bottom of the body and it will tell you where to cut, after which its just cut down the rest to the shape you want and if you pick the right glass it might even be scribed for the door already
