oldscool Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 I no longer have the box but mine was released in the 2000's and has no mention of Hogans Heroes. Just had a pic of a generic military Jeep on the box.

They'd still have to pay royalties no doubt.
jokar124 Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 (edited) Here's a real oddball that was in the Fantasy Island TV series as well as a Charlie's Angels movie: a 1978 Volare T-top Wagon ! Edited September 7, 2020 by jokar124
doorsovdoon Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Is it a prop of some sort? I've never seen the show, looks like it's held in position with stilts or something.
jokar124 Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Pretty sure it moves, stilts don't appear here:

The scene is from the movie Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.
doorsovdoon Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 If it got released I can see builders converting it back to a station wagon!

With Round 2's reissue of the Dodge LB pickup, add the 4x4 suspension 1980 cab and hood and decals. Good enough for me! They could also make it a series, using this kit... For this car... And this.... For this.... Or Honorable Mention if Monogram reissues this one.

I know the grill and hood was different in an 80 Dodge pick up but the cab was the same. Does the reissue have the 4x4 option?

Vince Nemanic Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Greg, in the 1980s, Don Graham, the late Bruce Treadwell and I built models of these and showed them at the Beverly Hilton in '86. Don did the red Gillis car, Bruce did the blue version and I did the Chrisman version. David Dale posted a picture of Bruce's about a week ago on the Spotlight Hobbies board. in one of his "more randon models" posts.

SSNJim Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 That looks like a "what ever year the foreground car is" Road Runner. 79? 80? MPC did a couple years of those in 1/25.

doorsovdoon Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 The highway patrol car is cool. Quite a bit of potential with a Volare wagon it seems. If Round2 did a 2 in 1 with T top wagon option I think it would do well.

Smog strangled 318 c.i., light bar, several hundred lbs of extra dead weight-pretty much everything behind the passenger seat. Max speed, hurricane tailwind aided, downhill=75mph. Sergeants had to give direct orders for them to be taken on patrol. Can confirm. I'd build one just so I could blow it up.
