Who makes the best distributor/wire kits?  I like the detail of the distributor in the picture but would like to know if anyone makes one like that with plug wires???

I use Morgan Automotive Detail. http://www.madmodeling.com/

I haven't seen anything with that kind of detail though. Even for his you have to add the vacuum canister.

Replica & Miniatures makes a very nice distributor that is pre-drilled and molded in color.

I mix my own.

A combination of Alclad colors.

Polished Aluminum, with a little bit of Pale Gold added.

You can get the same basic affect using Testors aluminum with a touch of gold, but I like the more realistic sheen you get from Alclad.

M.A.D. is my preferred distributor. I have about three dozen in the stash, and nearly that many on built models!! Different color caps, and different color wires. many combinations to choose from.

I also vote for MAD dizzys.

I feel dizzy when someone calls a distrubutor "dizzy".  :(

I keep looking at these on eBay - they look pretty nicely made I think:

I also picked up a Gopher Racing one last week when I was ordering something else anyway so I could see what theirs were like...they’re definitely pretty low down the scale in terms of detail and if you have a couple of sizes of tube and some wire you can make your own just as good I’d say

You can absolutely make your own.

It's just a matter of if it's worth the effort, or if it's just as easy and looks just as good to spend a couple of bucks and have someone else do the work for you. ;)

Absolutely!  I really need to try those MAD ones, they look GREAT!

Scale Repro's Plus plug wire is the same gauge as the MAD wire, with a duller finish. I used it on this 327, using the kit distributor because the coil was attached to it:
