StevenGuthmiller Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Hi guys. I decided that I would post this in a new thread partly because I wish I would have had these photos to post in the first place, and partially because editing is no longer an option after a couple of days on this forum. I wanted to be certain that everyone got a chance to see these pics. We finally got a little sunshine today, so I quickly rushed out to get a few shots before it disappeared again! It never ceases to amaze me at how differently some paint colors can look in natural light versus artificial. This seems to be one of those cases. The original pics I posted made the paint look somewhat drab, and not really close to the actual color. The natural light really brings out the richness of the Cinnamon Bronze paint IMO. Thanks for indulging my second thread on this subject. And one for comparison. Steve
1972coronet Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 OUTSTANDING ! The outside photos' lighting really makes that car look... real . With the snowy backdrop , it looks like March 1968 , and the car's on its maiden voyage . It'd be nifty if you could 'photoshop' some salty snow splashes on it --- that'd really sell it !
Hmann68 Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 Can’t build ‘em cleaner or better than that! Flawless work. Good photos too ?
vincen47 Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 Looks great indoors or out, but yeah, what a difference natural light makes on that paint!
Alan Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 Wow just Wow!!! Spectacular job, thanks for sharing! Alan
Geno Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 Steve, that is exceptional. I love the added detail of the valve stems and wheel weights. Just amazing. I'd give ya more than 2 thumbs up if I had more thumbs lol.?
rickcaps55 Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 Awesome job the 68 was the best looking in the 442 line up to me. boy I had two of them from Johan when I was a kid I wish I would have kept them I remember I payed $1.50 each at a local hobby shop.!!
Curt Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 Amazing the difference in color in the natural light. Even the interior brightened up. This makes me want to shoot every build outdoors. Thanks for posting this and it really is a jewel of a model!
Scott8950 Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 Steve that's absolutely amazing, one could swear that's a real car sitting outside. IMPRESSIVE!
thatz4u Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 Steve, don't post anymore photos of real cars here.....Fantastic work, well done...
gman Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Totally worth the wait to see your paint job in natural sunlight. While the build looks great either way, the natural light does let the beauty of your chosen color to shine through. Another great build.
