A member urged me to post some of my old school models built in the day so here goes.  It is a Strombecker D Jaguar built up as raced at Le Mans in 1954.  I used parts from a Revel XKE kit for the engine and front chassis. A tail fin has been added along with the driving light and a few other details.  I just noticed the number plate was made with dry transfers back in the days before we could make our own decals.  The paint was polished, no clear.  A sign of its age are the 2 part plastic tires.

Absolutely beautiful.

I've been working on something similar, but based on the ancient Lindberg curbside kit.

Ace,

If you want a glue bomb of the Lindberg kit, drop me a PM.
